Y1:D270 – A milestone has been reached as William Kerman became the first Kerbal to orbit planet Kerbin. Following the launch of MH 4 Bob reached orbit exactly as planned and remained there for 3 orbits of the planet.

The perfectly nominal flight was declared a triumph and an important first step in the crewed exploration of space.

During his announcement at KSC, Dr. Von Kerman stated that “bold new plans” would be released soon detailing “an exciting new direction” and “lofty goals” for the program.

Valentina Kerman, pilot of MH 3, which failed to achieve orbit a few weeks ago, was on hand to witness Bob’s history making flight. She is slated to pilot the next launch, MH 5, in a few weeks.
