Voyager III Explores Higher Then Ever Before

Y1:D120 – Hot on the heals of yesterday’s announcement of Venture 5’s historic accomplishments comes the launch of Voyager III.

Following a flawless launch, Voyager III is on a course to cross over the poles of Kerbin before exiting the Kerbin system and heading into interplanetary space.

Unlike previous probes, Voyager III is self powered by solar panels and will continue to operate for years if not decades.

This over the pole course was chosen so that in 202 days, the probe will reenter the Kerbin system before heading once again into Interplanetary space.

Along with the usual suite of scientific instruments, studying the path Voayger III takes will help out understanding of the nature of deeper space.
